I'm Rachel, a Permanent Placement Recruiter with CoreMedical Group. Over the past year, I've sharpened my skills in identifying top talent and building strong connections with my candidates. My commitment to nurturing these relationships helps guide candidates through the complexities of the job search process, providing support every step of the way.

Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my two-year-old son, Jack. Balancing my professional and personal life, I bring the same level of care and attention to both, striving for a well-rounded approach to life.

What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare recruitment, and how has it influenced your professional journey?

My journey into healthcare staffing has been an adventure full of unexpected opportunities. Taking a chance on something different led me to discover a career I truly love. Joining CoreMedical Group was a game-changer, enriching my life with meaningful connections with both clinicians and colleagues.

Embracing new challenges for growth has been key to my success. Through my work at CMG, I've found not only professional success but also a sense of purpose in advocating for healthcare professionals. It has been such a rewarding experience!

What is the most memorable or rewarding experience you've had while recruiting healthcare professionals?

I have so much gratitude for the memorable moments during my tenure, which highlight the impact my work has on both clinicians and the patients they serve. Connecting with my candidates after they've been successfully placed and hearing about their love for their new positions highlights the significance of my role in facilitating meaningful careers.

What qualities do you look for in a candidate that make them stand out in the healthcare industry?

I focus on qualities like transparency, integrity, and compassion because I’m committed to finding not just skilled professionals, but individuals who embody the values essential for exceptional patient care. When candidates show genuine passion and dedication for their work, it resonates with me, knowing they'll bring their best selves to their roles.

Building trust goes beyond evaluating my candidates professional credentials; it involves sharing personal aspects of my life and inviting them to do the same. This mutual exchange creates a deeper connection and understanding, laying the foundation for a trusting relationship and often times a friendship.

What strategies do you use to ensure a successful match between healthcare professionals and their respective roles?

My approach to matching healthcare professionals with their roles is comprehensive and thoughtful. By learning the motivations and aspirations of my candidates, I gain insight into what drives them toward new opportunities. This involves not only identifying their career goals but also the specific elements that would make a position their dream role.

My strategy involves educating them on realistic expectations. This helps manage expectations and ensures that candidates are prepared for the realities of the positions they pursue. By providing this guidance and insight, I empower candidates to make informed decisions, leading them to a successful placement. I facilitate matches that are not only professionally fulfilling but also conducive to personal growth and fulfillment.

How do you stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the healthcare industry to better serve your candidates?

Staying updated on the latest trends in the healthcare industry is crucial. By engaging directly with healthcare professionals and listening to their insights and experiences, I gain firsthand knowledge of the current landscape. This not only keeps me informed about emerging trends but also helps me understand the challenges and opportunities facing healthcare professionals.

Additionally, I’m committed to researching fair market compensation to effectively advocate for my candidates. By considering factors such as location and experience, I tailor my advocacy to each individual's circumstances, maximizing their earning potential and overall satisfaction with their compensation package.
