How does your team work to ensure that the credentialing process is streamlined and efficient for healthcare professionals who work with CoreMedical Group?
To ensure that the credentialing process is streamlined and efficient for healthcare professionals working with CoreMedical Group, we prioritize team meetings where concerns and new processes are discussed openly. This collaboration helps us stay aligned and ensure that we’re always keeping client checklists updated with the most current requirements.
What are some of the key characteristics shared between team members that make the credentialing team successful?
The success of our credentialing team stems from several key characteristics shared by team members. We are all great communicators and wonderful collaborators, and each person brings a unique way of thinking to the table. This diversity fosters creativity and offers valuable insights that contribute to our overall effectiveness.
In what ways do you support healthcare professionals who may have unique circumstances or challenges during the credentialing process?
When healthcare professionals face unique circumstances or challenges during the credentialing process, we strive to be empathetic and supportive. We understand that challenges can arise, and we make it a priority to exercise patience and help guide them through the process with understanding.
Can you think of a situation where the team took important feedback and implemented or adjusted a process to better serve our clinicians?
A notable example of how our team took important feedback and made adjustments was the introduction of the Credentialing Support Specialist role. By splitting the original Credentialing Specialist position into two roles, we were able to create a more candidate-focused Credentialing Specialist role while the Credentialing Support Specialist handles the administrative tasks behind the scenes. This adjustment has allowed us to provide more consistent follow-up with our travelers and ensure greater attention to detail.
What would be your biggest piece of advice for a first-time clinician navigating the credentialing process?
For first-time clinicians navigating the credentialing process, our biggest piece of advice is to carefully follow the welcome email, which contains all the necessary details. Trust the process - your credentialing specialist is there to support you every step of the way. It's also important to be patient and maintain clear communication with your credentialing team. Keep in mind that CoreMedical Group has its own standard requirements, in addition to meeting the varied requirements of each facility. Since every facility has different expectations, each new contract will look a little different from the last.
