Tell us about yourself:
I’m a Senior Recruiter in the Permanent Placement Division. I've been with CoreMedical Group for over 2.5 years. My hobbies include fishing, being by the water, watching sports, spending time with my son, playing trivia, and hanging out with family and friends! My strengths include being very personable and easy to talk to and work with. I feel like I can have a conversation with people from all walks of life.
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare recruitment, and how has it influenced your professional journey?
I was referred to CoreMedical Group through a close friend of mine. I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into, but I have enjoyed every minute of helping so many amazing nurses and meeting new people. This journey has shown me the profound impact I can have by connecting healthcare professionals with roles where they can truly make a difference.
What is the most memorable or rewarding experience you've had while recruiting healthcare professionals?
Celebrating job offers with candidates is one of the most memorable experiences I have had during my time at CMG. Hearing their excitement and their smiles through the phone is incredibly rewarding. Some candidates have even teared up, which honestly gets me a little teary-eyed too; I’m a softie.
What qualities do you look for in a candidate that make them stand out in the healthcare industry?
I look for candidates who are very transparent about their needs and aren’t afraid to be themselves when speaking with me. Those who genuinely care about the job they’re doing, rather than just chasing a paycheck, stand out in the industry. I’m especially drawn to nurses who are looking to make a difference in their roles and overall a difference in their patients' lives.
What strategies do you use to ensure a successful match between healthcare professionals and their respective roles?
I always make sure my clinicians experience aligns with what the clients are looking for, never placing someone in a bad situation. I ensure they feel supported throughout the entire placement process, fostering a successful match for both the candidate and the client.
How do you stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the healthcare industry to better serve your candidates?
I keep up with the latest trends and developments by staying active on social media and regularly conversing with my colleagues. This helps me stay informed about what’s happening and understand the job market in various geographic locations across the country!
