But we know a few top-notch spots always spark interest in the traveling nurse and traveling therapist. Take a look at some of the fantastic locations you could call your temporary home on your next travel nurse contract with Core.

  1. Denver, Colorado

The capital of Colorado is developing into an incredible hub, with a fabulous culinary reputation and an artistic vibe. Shop at the outdoor 16th Street Mall, visit the Botanic Gardens or the Denver Zoo, or learn to ski as you find yourself surrounded by the Rockies. Don’t forget to catch a concert or show at Red Rocks, one of the most unique venues in the United States. There’s something here for everyone!

    California

California is the third-largest state in the country, and it is one of the most diverse states out there. From San Francisco to San Diego and everything in between, there are so many different destinations and activities to keep you entertained on your travels. From world-famous amusement parks to your chance to see a celebrity in your neighborhood grocery store, there’s never a dull moment! In California, you’ll find some of the best beaches for sunning and surfing as well as incredible state parks perfect for hiking, camping, and enjoying nature.

    Alaska

A bucket list-worthy state for sure, Alaska is a beautiful place for RNs and LPNs who want to experience the wilderness. You’ll have the chance to see bear, moose, caribou and mountain goats on your daily commute - safely, of course. Although it’s not Alaska’s capital, Anchorage is the most populous city in the state. Anchorage has so much to offer travel nursing and therapy professionals, including fine dining, museums, and over 100 miles of paved cycling and running paths. Imagine waking up to bright green and purple shimmers dancing across the sky, as the Aurora Borealis welcomes you to the 49th state. Are you already packing your bags?

    Hawaii

Being in the nursing field, you are already more than familiar with coffee, so why not call the coffee capital your home for a few months? This pet-friendly city houses iconic Seattle Space Needle, a legacy left from the 1962 World Fair, and be sure to explore the famous Pike Place Market for fresh fish, flowers, unique crafts, and other wares. While you may shy away from the area after hearing about the rain, it’s best not to let that impact your decisions. There are tons of experiences to have indoors, like the Chihuly Garden and Glass gallery, and the Museum of Pop Culture (home of the Experience Music Project)!

With travel nursing jobs all over the state of Florida, you’ll never be too far from the beach, theme parks, and national parks.
