CoreMedical Group, a national healthcare staffing company based in Manchester, NH, held a donation drive to support the New Hampshire Food Bank during the second quarter of 2017. The donation drive collected over $14,000 in food and money for the food bank that supports over 400 partner agencies in New Hampshire.
“Connecting People, Improving Lives, and Giving Back” are the main tenets of CoreMedical Group’s mission statement, and the company does that through quarterly charity support. Each quarter, Core employees participate in donation drives and activities that gather supplies and raise funds for local and national charities.
In New Hampshire, roughly 1 in 9 individuals is food insecure, which makes the NH Food Bank an important resource in the state. In 2016, The NH Food Bank distributed 12.7 million pounds of food to those in need.
"The employees of CoreMedical Group have always come through during our various drives, however they really pour it on for the NH Food Bank." says Core President and CEO Armand L. Circharo Jr. "The fact that it is helping so many people from our own communities; I think that makes it so much more gratifying for all of us." he said.
This quarter’s donation drive resulted in over $7,000 in donations from Core employees. The company then matched those donations, bringing the total to over $14,000 for the NH Food Bank. Through a virtual food drive, employees could “shop” for the items that the NH Food Bank needs most right on the food bank website. The virtual food drive also helps donations go further, since the Food Bank can purchase food in larger, less expensive quantities than an individual could at the grocery store.
Core has supported the NH Food Bank as part of their CoreCares initiative since 2007, with annual food drives and donations.
