Q. What's required to become an International nurse?
A.
Two years recent hospital-based experience in your specialty,
although minimum requirements may vary slightly depending
on your professional discipline, passing of the NCLEX exam,
excellent professional references
and a valid professional license.

Will I have medical and dental insurance?
A.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
A.
Yes, up to 3 years is required to sign a contract.
While fulfilling your contract obligation, you may work at
more than one client location.

Do I need a new license for each state I travel to?
A.
Our counselors will work with you and your employers to ensure
that you have all the necessary information to obtain the
required license for your assignment state well before your
start date. Each state does have its own rules and regulations
(which change frequently), so we at CoreMed contact the individual
state boards directly to obtain the most up-to-date information
and application paperwork.

A.
Absolutely! Changing locations as an international nurse demonstrates
your dedication to your profession, as well as your personal
adaptability and the flexibility of your clinical practice.
When you are seeking a permanent position, after you have
completed your contractual obligations, your resume will be
strengthened by the diversity of your U.S. assignments.

Can I travel with family?
A.
Yes, your family can join you after you have become
acclimated to your new job, which is usually in 90 days.

How can I learn more about the facility at which I will be
working?
A.
Each hospital has its own way of orienting and integrating
international nurses, depending on the size of the facility, how many
contract nurses they use, how they orient their permanent staff,
the orientation procedures of your individual assignment unit,
etc. Our counselors will be able to provide you with many
of these orientation details when you discuss potential assignments.
